Terms of use

Use the map with context.

By using Mapews, you agree to use this informational interface responsibly and to follow the terms of the linked sources and services it references.

An informational map, not an authority.

Mapews presents source-linked event records for orientation and research. Records may be delayed, incomplete, approximate, duplicated, or incorrect. A map marker is not a confirmation that an event is currently happening, safe to approach, or relevant to your exact location.

Not an emergency service. Do not use Mapews for emergency calls, evacuation decisions, medical decisions, security operations, or other time-critical safety decisions. Follow local authorities and emergency services.

The service may change, pause, remove records, or limit requests without notice. No availability, completeness, accuracy, or timeliness promise is made.

Use it carefully.

  • Do not submit confidential, personal, or sensitive information into search.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, overload the API, or interfere with the map, database, source services, or advertising systems.
  • Respect the licenses, rate limits, attribution requirements, and terms of each external source listed on the sources page.
  • Verify important claims with the linked original source and appropriate authorities.

Linked material belongs to its publishers.

Mapews may link to articles, official alerts, feeds, map tiles, fonts, and other third-party services. Those sites have their own content, availability, privacy practices, and terms. Mapews does not claim ownership of external material merely because it stores a title, short description, URL, provider ID, or coordinate needed to explain an event.

Source links are provided for inspection. Their inclusion is not an endorsement, partnership, or guarantee that the publisher agrees with Mapews.

Corrections and policy changes.

To report a wrong event, source link, location, or category, use the correction channel. Operators may update this notice and the product methodology as the data pipeline or deployment changes; the last-updated date identifies the current published version.

If any part of these terms is not enforceable in a particular jurisdiction, the remaining parts continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. This product notice does not replace advice from a qualified professional.
